How to Make the Perfect Keto Mason Jar Salad Recipe

Recipe 1: Greek Mason Jar Salad:

Serves 4

You will need the following ingredients to prepare the Greek mason jar salad:

Olive Oil and Vinegar Dressing-10 tbsp

Cherry Tomatoes-1 quart (cut into halves)

Sliced mini cucumbers-5

Chopped Greek olives-1 cup

Shredded rotisserie chicken (cooked)

Romaine lettuce-5 cups

Crumbled Feta Cheese-¾ cup

With all these ingredients, chopped and prepared beside you; you begin to layer the mason jar. Remember that the mason jar must have a wide mouth, so it is quick and easy to layer the salad.

Divide everything into proper portions and start layering. First, pour in the dressing, then the cucumbers and tomatoes, followed by cheese, olives and chicken. Top it with a lot of lettuce and close it tightly. Store in refrigerator and shake it a bit before you pour it out in a bowl for eating.

Recipe 2: Chopped Taco Mason Jar Salad:

Makes 4 servings

For the chopped taco mason jar salad, you will need:

Ground Turkey or Beef-1 lb

Taco seasonings **see ingredients below

Water – 1 tbsp

Salsa-1 ¼ cup

Plain Greek Yogurt-5 tbsp

Cherry tomatoes-1 quart

Mini cucumbers-5

Chopped red onion-1 or 2 medium sized

Chopped avocados-2

Lime Juice-half lime

Pickled jalapenos-11 ounce jar

Chopped romaine lettuce-5 cups

**For the taco seasoning you will need:

  • 1 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1/2 tablespoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried onion or onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Start by cooking ground turkey or beef in a pan until it is cooked and no longer pink. Once done, add the taco seasonings with 1 tablespoon water and allow it to cook for a minute or two. Let it cool.

Divide all the ingredients in the mason jar and layer them accordingly, topping it all with jalapenos and lettuce. Shut the mason jar tightly and store it in the refrigerator for 4-5 days.
